6 MONDAYS

JANUARY 22 – MARCH 4 (No class February 19) | 10:30 am - 12 pm

How do different lenses change the way we perceive art? Using works from the Represent: Great Women Artists at MAG exhibition and MAG collection, we will explore the notion of how the different 'gazes' in art history (Male, Female, Colonial, Oppositional) have influenced perspectives and interpretations of art. We will examine these different concepts together with activities in the gallery that span classical to contemporary art—  and see how considering the gaze can transform the way we look.
