ROC the Finger Lakes DeTOUR℠ with Amanda Chestnut

This event is no longer on sale.

Thursday August 19

6:00 PM  –  7:00 PM

Our Flower City is home to some of the best murals, festivals, and artists in the country. Every two years, Rochester’s oldest and longest-running juried exhibition showcases new work in all media by artists from Rochester and the nearby region. Since only a small percentage of works submitted are chosen, Finger Lakes remains a prestigious showcase for regional artists. Amanda Chestnut, a curator, artist, educator, arts advocate, and former Cocktails with Creatives alum was this year’s juror for the Finger Lakes exhibition, focusing on race, identity, health, memory, the environment, and the absurd. Join us as they share their favorite works from the exhibition, pieces from MAG’s collection that they find absurd, and talk about their passion for the arts in Roc.
