Especially for Educators: Composing Color
About the Program
Join fellow area educators for an evening at MAG! Explore the exhibition Composing Color: Paintings by Alma Thomas and discover her incredible story of developing an exuberant form of abstract painting late in life, after retiring from a long career as a schoolteacher. We will discuss Thomas’ distinct style, characterized by the dazzling interplay of pattern and vibrant color, and how it can inspire learning with students across grade levels and content areas. This workshop will also include a creative activity guided by a Teaching Artist.
Participants will earn 2.5 CTLE credit hours upon completion of this workshop and light refreshments will be provided. (Same workshop will be offered on Saturday March 1.)
