About the Art Start Workshop
No sewing machines are used here! Learn to hand-stitch a scrunchie using fabric scraps, an embroidery needle, elastic, and colorful thread. These make great gifts and excellent wrist candy. Plus, they are super convenient for those who like to wear their hair up and showcase their fashionable personalities! This workshop welcomes participants of all stitching abilities, including absolute beginners. Participants will leave the workshop with a completed scrunchie, knowledge of the running stitch, and the ability to make many more accessories at home.
Art Starts are fun, one-time, drop-in workshops for adults that feature mini, introductory lessons in art making with the guided help of one of our teaching artists. All materials, encouragement, and inspiration are included.
