About the Camp

Are you ready to travel through the rainbow? This first week of summer camp will be a deep dive into all the colors in MAG’s Collection with a lens on personal identity.

Campers will be introduced to color theory and selfhood concepts while exploring how artists like Clementine Hunter, Joseph Cornell, Faith Ringgold, and Rashid Johnson have used color to explore personal narratives. Campers will explore various art media while reflecting on concepts of color theory and personal narrative, including colorful self-portraits, vivid abstractions, and other projects that reflect artists from the collection.

Camps & Drop-Off Times

Instruction begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 4:30 PM, but you may drop off your child as early as 8:30 AM and pick up as late as 5 PM. There is no extra charge for this supervised before-care and after-care.

After registering, you will receive an email with your receipt, confirming your registration for this camp.

Online registration ends 48 hours before the camp starts. Camps with inadequate enrollment are cancelled one week before the first meeting of the camp. We will attempt to contact you via email to find an alternative camp or to refund your registration fee. View MAG’s refund policy here.
